Empty chairs...

I am searching for hiden treasures in my mom's vinyl record collection...
I love taking out a record at random and play it..
Today I was lucky...hitting one with Don Mc Lean...I just love him!

So this evening I've been training on my guitar, learning to play this...
beautiful isnt it?

I feel the trembling tingle of a sleepless night
Creep through my fingers and the moon is bright
Beams of blue come flickering through my windowpane
Like gypsy moths that dance around a candle flame

And I wonder if you knowThat I never I understood
That although you said you'd go Until you did -
I never thought you would

Moonlight used to bathe the contours of your face
While chestnut hair fell all around the pillowcase
And the fragrance of your flowers rest beneath my head
A sympathy bouquet left with the love that's dead

Never thought the words you said were true
Never thought you said just what you meant
Never knew how much I needed you
Never thought you'd leave - until you went

Morning comes and morning goes with no regret
And evening brings the memories I can't forget
Empty rooms that echo as I climb the stairs
And empty clothes that drape and fall on empty chairs

Ravn - Do you have any idea of how many young folks your age have never seen a vinyl record? There's still something about putting a record on the turntable with its hissing and popping that brings a smile to my face. I don't have a turntable anymore, but most of my vinyl (classical music mostly) was converted to CD when the technology was still new so the CD has all the pops and hissing, too!

Bye, Bye Miss American Pie (I love Don McLean)

Hope you guys have a good week.

Hugz,
Firethorne

Don McClean on vinyl.
You're getting quite the musical education, Ravn.

Greetings from Lincoln, California. Thanks for checking in. I am half Norwegian; my family came from Trondheim. I am so sorry that the two of you have so much illness and pain. My thoughts are with you and I will check your blog regularly.
